Financial assistance comes in the form of scholar- and fellowships, federal and private-lender loans, and work-study jobs. About 90% of Oregon M.B.A. students receive some kind of aid.

Scholarships

Criteria Merit-based GMAT, GPA, work experience
Eligibility 1st & 2nd yr. domestic & international students Awards for 2nd-yr. students are based on academic performance in 1st yr.

Federal Loans & Work Study

Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs)
These involve teaching or administrative tasks and are offered by departments and units across campus. They are advertised here; anyone qualified may apply regardless of citizenship.

Administrative GTFs within the Lundquist College of Business are reserved for second-year M.B.A. students. About 15-20% receive GTFs which carry a tuition waiver and pay a stipend of approx. $5,000-10,000/yr for 10-20 hrs. of work/yr.

 

Private Lender Loans
If you are

  • an international applicant with a U.S. citizen or resident co-signer,
  • a domestic applicant who has exhausted the maximum eligibility for Federal loans contact www.salliemae.com/mbaloans for a private loan.

 

International Student Scholarships
Both need- and merit-based scholarships specifically for non-U.S. students are available through the UO Office of International Programs at http://oip.uoregon.edu/iss/faid/.
